ARDMORE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a three-vehicle accident involving an off duty ambulance that has taken the lives of two people:
“A three-vehicle crash at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, September 21, has claimed two lives. Jaquarius Lamon Smith, 25, of Huntsville was killed when the 2007 Buick sedan, he was driving, struck a 2009 Ford ambulance and a 2017 Dodge pickup.
Smith and his passenger, Terrell Marquae Jolly, 30, of Huntsville were not wearing seatbelts. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The ambulance was not in service. The two occupants of the ambulance were injured and transported to a local area hospital. The driver and occupants of the Dodge pickup were not injured.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 53 three miles south of Ardmore. Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.”
