Danny Wayne Smith, age 62, of Sulligent, AL passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 4:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Bro. Matthew Paul, Bro. James Godsey, and Bro. Lynn Calloway to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.

Danny was born on February 7, 1957 in Guin, AL to the late Billy Wayne Smith and the late Mary Ruth Myers. He was a graduate of Bevill State Community College in Hamilton, AL. Danny previously worked in the oil field, truck driver for Hibbetts, and retired from the Alabama Army National Guard, also serving in Iraq. He enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, and especially loved making others laugh. Danny attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Sulligent, AL.
