TUSCUMBIA – Tuscumbia is home to the oldest Labor Celebration in Alabama commemorating Alabama workers. President Jimmy Carter kicked off his presidential bid at this event. The event features music, food and speeches from local politicos as well as as a Miss and Little Miss Labor Day contest.
The event is sponsored by the Shoals Area Central Labor Council and is always a hit with the folks of the Shoals. The Quad Cities Daily was on hand to captured all the fun in photos and we are pleased to present them to you here:
