Mrs. Anne Carter Davis, age 91 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Athens Health and Rehab. Mrs. Davis was born on June 18, 1928 in Limestone County, AL to Elmo C. Carter and Irma Giesseman Carter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James H. Davis; sisters, Katie Howard, Elizabeth Pyron, Margaret McLemore and brother, Bobby Carter.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Kay Adams and husband Doug of Athens, AL; grandchildren, Greg Adams (Lori) and Kim Smith (David) all of Athens, AL; great-grandchildren, Blake Adams, Kaylin Adams, Jacob Smith and Kara Smith; brother, Billy Carter of Florence, AL.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Coxey Church of Christ. She retired from General Motors after 22 years of service.
Services for Mrs. Davis will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Daniel Ridinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.
