Ret. 1SG Delbert Anderson CottonDelbert Anderson Cotton was born February 23, 1940 to the union of Mr. Verbon Cotton and Mrs. Beatrice Drinkard who both preceded him in death. Delbert confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Woodville, Alabama under the leadership of the Late Rev. W.P. Petty. Later he joined the U.S. Army Basic Training at Fort Jackson S.C. Delbert graduated September 29, 1961. He served in the Army for 30 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jacquelyn Cotton; two sons, Delbert Andre Vaughn and Jermaine Anderson Cotton; four sisters, Martha Marie Cotton Taylor, Mary Frances Cotton, Jeanette Cotton and Beulah Cotton; two brothers, James Lee Cotton (Stephanie) and Nathaniel Cotton (Bernice); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
