Russell Monroe ‘Butch’ Godfrey, 72, of Cullman, formerly of Orange Beach, AL passed away July 31, 2019.
He was born September 18, 1946 to Gilmer Rubin & Hilda Erna Hirsch Godfrey. He was a loving father and a devoted husband.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judy Calvert Godfrey; son, Jon (Shelia) Godfrey; daughter, Susan (Ricky) Guthrie; brothers, Gilmer Godfrey, Jr., Keith (Lauren) Godfrey; sister, Patricia Godfrey; grandchildren, David Gardner, Aliyah Guthrie, Kalah Guthrie; a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 2nd, 2019 from 6-8 at Cullman Funeral Home, 461 U.S. Hwy. 278 East, Cullman, AL 35055.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cullman Christian School.
