Kathleen Ann Bounds (nee McClaughry) took her last breath on July 29, 2019 after a three year battle with Endometrial Cancer and Liver Cirrhosis. She was born on July 3, 1951, in Solano, California, to Gale Robert and MattaLou (nee Feemster). Both of which have preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her eldest daughter Michele Rene Bounds of San Bernardino, CA on June 30, 1995. She is survived by her daughter Kelly C. Maynard of Beaumont, CA her husband Paul, their children (Sage, Micah & Natalie Grace); Her daughter Caryn E. Bounds of Meridianville, AL; Her son Matthew R. of Many, LA, his wife Faith, their children Anna Grace and Michael R. She is also survived by her brothers, Curtis Michael McClaughry of San Diego, CA, and her brother Colonel Robert R. Tyler (Ret.) of Decatur, IL.

For 32 years Kathleen worked as a Lead Cost Analyst for Northrop Grumman. Without a doubt, she loved what she did and the people she worked with. She was an avid reader, never without at least two books on her for those “down time” moments and was an exceptional home baker. Her annual holiday goodies were always widely anticipated by everyone in the office. She was easy to talk to, always giving great sound advice or just an ear to listen to you if needed it.

She opened her heart and home to many new Army Recruits from the Redstone Arsenal each Thanksgiving starting when she first moved to the area in 2000. She felt that she could give them a little taste of “Home for the Holidays” at her home if they couldn’t get to their own families. Many of her coworkers, her children and her children’s friends looked up to her as a role model, mentor and friend. She was and is greatly loved and admired by the people she worked with and those that knew her.

Please stop in at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL on August 11th from 4:00 – 6:00PM to sign her Memorial Services book and leave your condolences and well wishes for the family.
