Carolyn S. Works, 66, died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Iuka Hospital. She was born in Itawamba County, MS to James Arlin and Evelyn Baggett Rollins. She had worked at Blue Bell for many years and was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church. She and her husband Jim Works owned and operated Willow Lane Auto and Wrecker Service.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 30, 1 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church with Bro. Matthew Fancher officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son-Danny Works (Melissa) of Golden; her grandson-Austin Works of Belmont; four sisters-Christine Allen of Golden, Joyce Rich (Bob) of Dennis, Betty Mahan (Winkle) and Geraldine Holcomb (Allen) all of Belmont and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband-James A. “Jim” Works, Jr.; her parents; brother-in-law-Charles Allen and father-in-law-James A. Works, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Junior Hutcheson, Randy Allen, Tim Mahan, Jeff Mahan, David Holcomb and Mike Rich.
Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 6-9 at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS and she will lie-in-state from 11-1 on Tuesday at Golden Central Baptist Church.
