Mrs. Edna Anderson, 92, of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Mrs. Anderson was the last charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was retired from Scottsboro City School System. She also was at the opening of the original B.B. Comer Bridge and at the closing of it.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lockard and Rev. Brett Hogland officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her children, Joan Taylor, Jane (Barry) Guerin, Larry (Beverly) Anderson, and Gary (Linda) Anderson; grandchildren, Alesha (Matt) Hatto, Mandy (Jason) Williams, Shonda (Daniel) Franicevic, Mandy (Jared) Shelton, Daran (Haley) Anderson, Brian (Angie) Guerin, Dustin (Sonny) Anderson, Chad (Stacey) Guerin, Todd (Danielle) Anderson, Kristin (Eric) West, and Jason Taylor; 20 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn (Buck) Anderson; son in law, Curt Taylor; brother in law, June Anderson; great grandchildren, Garrett and Nicholas Franicevic.
