Mr. Harvey T. McGaha, 83, of Scottsboro, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019. He was born on February 14, 1936.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Venable and Rev. Frank Benton officiating. Interment will follow at Travis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McGaha is survived by his son, Bryan (Tammi) McGaha; daughter, Sheila McGaha; grandchildren, Eric (Leslie) McGaha of Texas, Nick (Amber) Thompson, Melissa (Geoffrey) Ward, Melinda Gibbard, and Renee (Joel) Kent of Florida; great grandchildren, Hunter Potter-McGaha, Bailey Potter-McGaha, Alexia Thompson, Brandon McGaha, Lucas Thompson, Jason Ward, Nolan Ward, Connor Gibbard, and Marin Gibbard; sister, Irene Parker; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Berthel McGaha; parents, Velma and William McGaha; great granddaughter, Erica McGaha; sisters, Mary Bell Knight and Ruth Travis; and brother, William F. McGaha.
