Services for James Lowell “Lucky” Starr Jr., 71 of Somerville will be at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019.The time comes when those whom we have loved the longest and the best will travel into a place of serenity and rest. Thursday, July 18, 2019, James Lowell “Lucky” Starr Jr. found peace and comfort in the tender embrace of his Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents James Starr, Sr. and Grace Hollaway, wife Vickey Hall, daughter Shelly Starr, grandson Mark Dylan Lester, two sisters Lottie Holloway and Darlene Roper. He is survived by his daughter Nikki Eddy of Decatur, five brothers Mike (Paige) Starr, Guy (Tammy) Holloway Jr. both of Somerville, David Starr and Greg (Savannah) Holloway both of Hartselle, and Lonnie Black of TN, one sister in-law Velma Hall of TN, two grandchildren Blake Lester and Tyler Lester of Atlantic, N.C and an abundance of nieces and nephews. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam.
