Mrs. Willie Campbell Wooten, age 91, of the New Canaan Community of Arab, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019.Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her parents; Rev. Leonard Franklin Campbell and Mary Betty Feemster Campbell, three brothers, four sisters, and one great-grandson. She is survived by three sons; Rex Wooten (Shirley), Rod Wooten (Anita), and Rudy Wooten (Margie), eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and her very special friend, Barbara Holmes.
Mrs. Wooten was a faithful member of Arab First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for over fifty years. She enjoyed spending time in the garden and loved her family dearly.
Visitation for Mrs. Wooten will be Monday, July 1st, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 in the chapel with Bro. Arthur Feemster officiating. Burial will follow in New Canaan Cemetery in Arab, AL with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel Directing.
Pallbearers will include Chris Wooten, Brian Wooten, Todd Wooten, Michael Mann, Chad Wooten, Chad Thrower, Brady Thrower, Adam Thrower, and Glen Pumphrey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Hamilton, Paul Murphy, and Chad Reaves.
