Mr. James Robert Johnston Sr. age 78 of Boaz, passed away at his residence Thursday, June 27, 2019. A visitation will be held Friday, June 28, 2019, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Church, with a lie-in-state from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. He is survived by his wife; Bonnie Johnston, daughter; Tammy (Alan) Godwin, sons; Randall (Lynn) Johnston, James Johnston Jr., grandchildren; Shaina Godwin, Laura Stakes, Kara Godwin, Dereck Johnston, Tessa Johnston, Zach Godwin, Matthew Johnston, Trevor Johnston, great-grandchildren; Janson Davis, Carly White, Cambran Bush. He was preceded in death by parents; Ben & Idell Johnston, sister; Raynell Gilmore.
