Mrs. Betsy Ross Carter, age 90 of Athens, AL passed away on June 27, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Carter was born on July 12, 1928 in Limestone County, AL to Ross Patterson and Louise Beasley Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Heywood Carter.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters, Angela Carter and Gayla Carter; sons, Grayson Carter (Charlotte) and Dale Carter (Denice); grandchildren, Tommy Joe Boyd, Ross Hargrove (Keysha), Shea Wiggins (Ben), Amber Griffith (Jeffrey), Halston Carter (Britney), Megan Carter and Chad Carter; 10 great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Carter will be at 1:00PM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Dorning officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-12:45 prior to the service. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Joe Boyd, Ross Hargrove, Ben Wiggins, Jeffrey Griffith, Halston Carter and Chad Carter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
