Lee Searcy Weed, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. She was born in Huntsville and enjoyed living here her entire life, where she was active in the community and deeply loved by her family and friends. She graduated from Huntsville High School in 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Mae and Robert Benjamin “Speck” Searcy, and her husband, John Joseph Weed. They met while both working at a local bank and were married from 1966 until his death.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Ann Williams; nephew, Robert Williams and his daughter, McKenzie; niece, Lee Ann Williams Huang (Jerry) and their children, Emily, Elizabeth, and Walter; and niece, Mary Beth Williams Johns (Keating) and their children, William and James.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 24th, at 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Huntsville with The Rev. Dr. Tara W. Bulger officiating. The service will be followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
