Avie Lou Heard Avie Lou Heard, age 82, of Caledonia, MS in the Priestville Community, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Northington/Heard Cemetery, Brother Don Taggart, Brother Harvey Coplin, and Brother Randy Kennedy to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm.

Mrs. Heard was born in Lamar County on April 13, 1937 to the late Charlie Otts and the late Lucile Williams Otts. Avie attended Sulligent School and was a member of Depriest Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, traveling to hear the Primitive Quartet in Candler, NC, gardening, and yard work.
