A native of Memphis, she was a retired production manager with Flavorite Labs in Horn Lake, MS and also was a licensed cosmetologist. She was born October 22, 1945 in Memphis, daughter of the late Alvin Wesley Pirtle and Bessie Virginia Owen Tubbs and lived most of her life in Memphis. She enjoyed traveling and getting out with her friends and being around her dogs and other animals. She was a Baptist in faith and attended Westwood Baptist Church in Memphis in her earlier years.
Survivors include a brother, A. W. Pirtle, Jr. (Brenda) of Whiteville; a niece, Cheryl Trainum (Steve) of Bolivar; a nephew, Ron Pirtle (Dede) of Chattanooga; great nieces and nephews, Jeremiah Pirtle (Kala), Amber Majors (Bryce), Ashley Trainum, Joshua and Jason Pirtle and Autumn Trainum; and 2 great great nephews, Zachary and Cooper.
