Edward Barnes of Sulligent, Alabama, 89 born September 8, 1929 in Vernon, Alabama to the late Maggie Lee Elliott Barnes and Bro. Roy H. Barnes Sr. died Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in the Generations of Vernon, in Vernon, Lamar County, Alabama.
He had lived in Vernon and Sulligent most of his life. He was a member of Freewill Chapel and loved his church family. He loved gospel music and working in the garden and had been Plant Manager of Garment Plants.
Visitation: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at the Freewill Chapel Church.
Service: 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, following visitation at the church.
Officiating: Bro. Leon Barnes, Bro. Arnold Sheets and Bro. Jerry Smith.
Burial: Wofford Cemetery.
