ATHENS-On Monday, June 3 Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a press release on the arrest of a suspect on a warrant for Theft:
“On May 4, 2019 Shane Wesley Ward took his father’s motorcycle. The theft took place on US 72 near Lindsay Lane.
On May 6, 2019 the motorcycle was located in Cullman at Ward’s mother’s residence.
On May 9, 2019 Investigator Jarrod Smith obtained a warrant for theft of property first degree for Ward.
Ward was arrested on that warrant Friday evening (May 31). He was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail. The motorcycle was a Harley Davidson valued at $10,000.00.”
