Elois Jeanette McAfee of Michie, Tennessee was born October 20, 1933 in Farmington, Mississippi the daughter of the late William Thomas and Gertrude Grissom Holcomb. She was united in marriage to Jim Nathaniel McAfee on July 1, 1950. Mr. McAfee preceded her in death on July 31, 1999.
Mrs. McAfee was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Michie. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to gospel music, reading her Bible, gardening, crocheting, sewing, and embroidering. She departed this life on June 1, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 85 Years, 7 Months, 12 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Shaw and husband Glen of Michie; five grandchildren, Adam Shaw and wife Alicia of Michie, Jeff Shaw and wife Chelsea of Michie, Eric Taylor and wife Mindy of Iuka, MS, Justin McAfee and wife Cassandra of Alabama, and Kelly McAfee of Michie; nine great -grandchildren, Leslie Kate, Macie, Gavin, Chloe, Theory, Edwin, Emory, River, and Alexis; a brother, Pete Holcomb of Brandon, MS; a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McAfee was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Sue Brumley; a son, O’Neal McAfee; a sister, Nelda Cutshall; two brothers, Floyd Alton Holcomb, Willard Ray Holcomb.
