F.5.31.19 Mary Andujar.jpg Mary Alice Andujar passed away on May 28, 2019, from complications of dementia, at the age of 72 at home in Killen surrounded by her family. She had lived in the Elkmont area of Limestone County for over 30 years. There will be a casual service in her memory Saturday June 1, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home in Florence. Anyone will be welcome to share their “Mary memories” with everyone.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, William “Andy” Andujar; her parents, William Morris and Virginia Allen; her brother, William “Billy” Morris; and her sister, Sylvia Peters.

She is survived by her children, Jamie Phillips and her husband Tommy, Jonathan Andujar and his wife Gena; grandchildren, Robb Gilchrist, Jon Andujar and Justin Andujar; great- granddaughter, Kathrine Balentine; best friends who were more like sisters, Mary Hice and Jean Russell; and her beloved dachshund, Cindy.

Jonathan and Gena would like to sincerely thank Amedisys Hospice staff and aides for their care and support. Special thank you to nurse Kristen Howard for accepting our calls while you were off duty. There are no words to convey our gratitude to nurse Katy Looney. The love, compassion and respect that you displayed during her care is unparalleled. Thank you for all the good that you do and your unselfish love for strangers. You truly are an angel.
