Funeral services for Kay Harris Hanners, age 63 of Cragford, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church (Lineville)with Rev. Tim Tipton and Rev. Jimmy Brand officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery.

Mrs. Hanners passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at her residence. A native of Clay County, she was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress for Higgins, Robinson, and Southland Sewing Plants, was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church but had been attending Mt. Gilead Community Church. She loved looking at old houses, buildings, and cemeteries, and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids the most.

Mrs. Hanners is survived by her husband, Tommy Hanners of Cragford; one daughter, Sherry Flowers (Heath) of Grady; one son, Mike Hanners (Tasha) of Lineville; one daughter-in-law, Stacey Hanners of Lineville; three sisters: Sandra McGraw of Ashland, Ramona Phillips (Roger) of Delta, and Virgina McVey (Marvin) of Delta; two brothers: Jimmy Ray Harris (Darlene) of Ashland, and Roger Harris (Amanda) of Ashland; six grandchildren: Briana Flowers, Austin Flowers, Matthew Hanners, Ethan Hanners, Braxton Hanners, and Alyssa Hanners.

She was preceded in death by her parents, K.P. Harris and Edna Gay Crawford Harris, and one son, John Hanners.

Active Pallbearers will be Tyler Hanners, Ben Hanners, Matthew Hanners, Austin Flowers, Donald Robertson, and Mikie Belcher.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Braxton and Ethan Hanners.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, or memorial contributions to help with funeral expenses may be made to Benefield Funeral Home.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
