Donivan Hagwood – Obituary

Donivan Hagwood, 52 of Florence, died Friday, May 10, 2019. His visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Brother Mark Mayfield and Ronnie May will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.

Donivan was a Shoals native graduating from Colbert County High School Class of 1985 and graduating the Policy Academy in 1987. He served in the 32nd Judicial Drug Task Force and retired as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the K-9 Unit of the Colbert County Sheriff’s Department.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Hagwood and grandparents, Vester and Martha Hallmark and Clarence and Muriel Hagwood.

Donivan is survived by his daughter, Ashlyn Hagwood Southern (Joshua); parents, Jack and Jo Cornelius; sisters, Stacey Wisdom, Donna Cartee and Tracey Crosswhite; grandchildren, Jaycee Ann Southern and Jaydenn Southern; nephew, Logan Wisdom; and niece, Josie Wisdom.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Colbert County Sheriff’s Department.
