 Gregory  Hal TalleyGreg Talley, 55, of Collierville, TN, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Corinth, MS on September 3, 1963 to Hal and Brenda Kennedy Talley and graduated from Kossuth High School in 1981 and from Northeast MS Junior College in 1983. Greg graduated in law enforcement training from the Mississippi Dept. of Corrections in 1992 and retired as Sergeant from the Mississippi Dept. of Corrections with 15 years of service and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. His hobbies included watching dirt track racing, fishing and watching Memphis Grizzlies basketball. Greg will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church. A celebration of Greg’s life will be held at 11 am Friday, May 10, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Sammy McMillan and Bro. Tommy Kennedy. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers include Benny Jones, Larry Shaw, Terry Phillips, Jimmy McGee, Ron Strom, and Soggy Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers include Johnnie Jones, Michael Jones, Scottie Kennedy and Bill Nelson. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Greg’s memory include his wife: Rebecca Talley of Collierville, TN; his sons: Gregory Ryan Talley and Taylor Lane Talley both of Corinth; his mother: Brenda Kennedy Talley of Corinth; his stepson: Kyle Miller of Collierville, TN; his stepdaughter: Kodie Norville of Bartlett, TN; his brother: Randy Talley (Cindy) of Corinth; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Hal Talley; his maternal grandparents: Troy and Hester Kennedy; and his paternal grandparents: Luther and Nolie Talley.
