Grace Alene Turman, age 86, of Sulligent, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at DCH in Tuscaloosa, AL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00pm from Sulligent First Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Pope Cemetery. Bro. Matthew Paul and Bro. Edward Puckett to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Grace was born on August 18, 1932 in Walker County, AL to the late Roy Wilber Duncan, Sr. and the late Delia Terrell. She was a graduate of Walker County High School where she played softball and basketball and was selected to the All County team. Grace previously drove the school bus for Sulligent High School and was a substitute teacher at Sulligent Elementary and Sulligent High School. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed her chickens, and quilting and sewing.
