Lillian “Ruth” Higginbotham from Dora, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 10, 2019 at 3:00 pm surrounded by family. Ruth was born to Thomas and Rosa Sullivan in Birmingham, Alabama and was the third of five children. She was a member of Sumiton First Assembly of God for Forty plus years and took part in the Women’s Ministry’s there. She was a faithful follower of Christ and loved to help others. Ruth was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Rosa Sullivan; husband, C.J. Higginbotham, and son; Stanley Savage. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Carrell, daughter-in-law; Connie Savage; grandchildren Melanie Panepento(Matthew), Wayne Carrell(Memorie), and Jason Carrell(Melody); great-granddaughter Isabella Hill and; siblings Willie Sullivan, Mary Jones, James Sullivan, and Barbara Brown. Services will be held at Bell Funeral home in Sumiton, Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time. Pastor Jack Thorne will officiate
