Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Wood, age 77, are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Sand Ridge Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wood passed away late Wednesday in Nashville. She was born March 12, 1942 in Henderson County to the late John Henry and Ola Beatrice Hemby Cogdell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working with her flowers at home. She adored her children, grands, and family and loved God. She was a member of Ridge Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie B. Wood and one grandson, Bubba Wood. Survivors include her three sons, Murry Wood (Sharon), Tim Wood (Faith Maness), and Greg Wood (April); her daughter, Deanna Wood; and her brother, Bobby Cogdell, all of Lexington; four grandchildren, Mitchell, Fallon, Garrett, and Trevor Wood; and seven great grandchildren.
