Faye R. Foreman Hardin, 77, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born in Humboldt, TN to the parents of James and Pearl Harris Foreman. After 51 years of service, she was retired as a school teacher for Jackson Madison County Schools. Faye taught English at North Side High School and Madison Academic High School; was a Beta Club sponsor; and directed many high school plays. She taught honors classes as well as dual credit college courses.
She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and had served as a Sunday School Class Teacher, church librarian, acting secretary, and church directory editor. Faye loved reading, traveling, her family, and her students whom she taught over the years. She also volunteered as a Chaplain assistant at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She is survived by one brother, Jessie Foreman (Wilmoth) of Columbia, TN; her nephew, Hugh Deaton (Tammie) of Humboldt, TN; her niece Mary Jane Rogers (Mike) of Warner Robins, GA; her nephew Vaughn Bell (Shelia) of Humboldt, TN; her nephew Penn Foreman, Jr (Susan) of Harvest, AL; Cindy Choate (Ted) of Columbia, TN; Kathy Foreman of Tallahassee, FL; Walt Foreman of Columbia, TN; Ellen Foreman of Summertown, TN; Kate Foreman-Schewir (John) of Summertown, TN; Jerry Foreman (Leigh) of Nashville, TN; Jim Foreman (Kathy) of Memphis, TN; her step-daughter Brenda Stone (Doug) of Aberdeen, MS; her step-daughter Laura Beaver of Jackson, TN; and four step-grandchildren.
SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors with Bro. Stacy McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The pallbearers to serve are Brandon Deaton, Brian Deaton, Chris Rogers, Adam Beaver, Jacob Trotter, and Benjamin Trotter.
