Linda Ann Stancil, 78, of Spruce Pine, passed away Wednesday, April 03, 2019 at North Alabama Hospital.
Linda was a faithful member of Praise Tabernacle Church; and passionately loved leading praise and worship music for the last 45 years. She was a woman who loved her husband and family, loved her church, but foremost, loved her God. She loved working with her flowers. She always had a smile on her face, and always lived a true servant’s life.
The visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 06, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Bro. Will Hill, Bro. Dewayne Roden and Bro. Jerome Sherrill. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Marie (Cooper) Rains; sister, Janice Rains Pierce; and brother, Gene Rains.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 61 years, Bobby Stancil; sons, Gary Stancil, Jeff Stancil (wife, Melissa), Derrick Stancil; grandchildren, Bradley O’Kelley, Caitlin Stancil Witt (husband, Jackson), Sera Stancil Rice (husband, Michael), Matthew Stancil; great-grandchildren, Ella Stancil, Charlie O’Kelley, soon to arrive, Sawyer Witt; sisters, Gail Rains Thompson, Myra Rains Carter; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
