Elton “Doc” Woods, 75, of Florence passed away Monday, April 1, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2019, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. Services will follow in the chapel at 3:00 P.M. with burial in the Central Heights Community Cemetery. Wayne Wood will be officiating.
Doc was a veteran of the Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a logger in the timber industry and was a member of Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Woods; parents, Doyle and Daisy Woods; siblings, Peggy, Gary, Doris, Connie, and Randy.
He is survived by his sons, Lynn Rhodes, Bobby Russell, Elton “Peanut” Woods, Tonis Woods; daughters, Loretta Kronewitter and Becky Gean, brothers, Louie “Buck” Woods, Rick Woods, Rex Woods; sister, Rose Krieger; sister in law, Dianne Davis, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
