Edward Thurston Frazier – Obituary

Edward Thurston Frazier, 98 of Killen, AL passed away on March 10, 2019.  He was a native of Lutts, TN and lived majority of his life in Savannah, TN and Florence, AL .  He proudly served our country in WWII in Ireland were he was wounded and received the Purple Heart award for bravery.  He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend that loved the lord.  He spent many years as a gospel preacher.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years and mother of his children, Maud L Mangrum Frazier; sons, Charles E., Calvin R., and John R. Frazier; two wives Corrine Owens Frazier and Mildred Kobeck Frazier; son-in-law, Jimmy Gist.

 

Survivors include his son, David “Gene” Frazier (Jonell); daughter, Jauneze F. Gist; daughter-in-law, Linda Frazier; twelve grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.

 

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the St Florian Community Center from 2-4:00 p.m.  Interment will be in Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, TN.  Elkins Funeral Home, Florence is assisting the family.
