Jack Morring, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday in his home. He was lovingly cared for by Good Samaritan Hospice, and caregivers, Linda Campbell and Phyllis Carter. He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Jane on September 22, 1957. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1961, and was a civil servant for 33 years. Together, he and Jane raised three girls.

Jack loved being outdoors, messing about in a garden or fishing. Jack had an incredibly generous spirit and was always ready to reach out and take in anyone or anything that had a need. He adored his grandchildren, as well as attending many a ballgame and recital.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane; brother, Rodney; sisters-in-law, Patsy and Carolyn; daughters, Mechelle, Terrie, and Julie; sons-in-law, Geoffrey, Brett, and Brad; grandchildren, Walt, Nick, Jacob, Jessi, Jackson and Ginny; step-grandson, Lance; great-grandson, Kayson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; honorary family members, Amber, Blessing, and Neo; and longtime friend, Jean Brewer McCrady.
