Martha Lones Mires passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at her residence. She was 68 years old. Martha suffered from dementia for 10 years and had been a resident at Brookdale Memory Care for the past 2 years.
Ms. Mires was born Martha Elizabeth Clemons on November 22, 1950 to Felix and Melvin Clemons.
She was a member of Chase Baptist Church and lived in the Moores Mill community most of her adult life. Martha workded at Humboldt Machine Shop for over 30 years.
Ms. Mires was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Melvin; son, Michael Lones; sisters, Shirley Sue Clemons and Sara Jenkins; and brothers, Roy Clemons, Buddy Clemons, and Buck Clemons.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Campbell (Michael); stepson, Darrall Mires (Pam); grandchildren, Ryan, Jodi, Chloe, Wesley, Matt (Becky), and Christie; siblings, Mary Duffey, Betty Reavis (Bill), Sally Johnson (Johnny), Eugene Clemons (Alberta), David Clemons (Cathy), Bill Clemons (Toni), and Paul Clemons; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many other friends and loved ones.
Special thank you from the family to Danny Lones (Patsy), Libby Walker, Heaven Walker, and Janet Gaught for their friendship and care of Martha over the past several years.
Martha will be missed by her family and friends and will be remembered in their hearts forever.
Visitation will Monday, March 25th from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by service at 2:00. Burial will be at Ragsdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Duffey, Greg Duffey, Eric Clemons, Don Jenkins, Keith Reavis, Craig Clemons, Wayne Clemons, Scott Clemons, and Wade Clemons.
