Mrs. June Selle Maplesden, age 83 of Athens, AL passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Maplesden was born on June 2, 1935 in Iron Mountain, MI to Angelo A. Selle and Mary Parlanti Selle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert James Maplesden and brothers, Joseph Selle, Bud Selle and Jim Selle.
Mrs. Maplesden is survived by her sons, Larry Maplesden (Cheryl), Bobby Maplesden, and Johnny Maplesden (April); daughters, Mary Ellen Phillips (Steve), Karen Clem (David) and Sandra Baker (William); grandchildren, Joey Tittle, Brian Tittle (Kari), David Clem (Kathleen), Richard Clem (Murphie), Emily Eddy, James Clem, Nick Maplesden, Josh Maplesden, Taylor Miller (A.J.), Ashlee Baker, Tiffany Dabney (Bill) and Jared Hendrixson; great-grandchild, Owen Marie Clem; nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends.
Mrs. Maplesden was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and loved her church family and friends. She was very involved with church, playing organ much of the time.
The Rosary for Mrs. Maplesden will be at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM on Monday, March 25, 2019 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Tom John and Father Charlie Alookaran officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church or Hospice of Limestone County.
