Bobby Jesse Martin, age 79, of Tuscumbia, died Thursday, March 21, 2019. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, March 24, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Greg Beasley will officiate. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born on March 15, 1940, to the late Robert and Bertie Moore Martin. He loved to hunt rabbits, ride horses, and grow and sell vegetables and watermelons. In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nobel Martin, Rachel Martin, Mac Martin, Odell Martin, Pearl Fisher, Geneva Harmon, Wanda Martin, Wonell McClung, Mary Isbell, Betty Lee Martin, and Rosie Martin.
Mr. Martin is survived by his devoted wife, Martha Anne Aycock Martin; step-sons, Keith Hester and Daryl Hester; grandchildren, William Hester, Blaine Hester, and Mallory Hester; and great grandchildren, Selina Hester, Willow Hester, Brooklyn Batey, Hardy Batey III.
Pallbearers include William Hester, Blaine Hester, Larry Allen, Hardy Batey, Mike Martin, and Sonny Isbell.
