Jessie Tilman “Tim” McKelvey, 77, a native of Lauderdale County passed away February 23, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility in Athens. He attended Pisgah First Methodist Church. He served 23 years in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
His visitation will be tonight from 5 to 9 at Morrison Funeral Home in Central Heights. The funeral will be Wednesday February 27, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. Reverend Steve Reding and Reverend Bradley Hipps will be officiating with Burial in Pisgah Cemetery.
Mr. McKelvey was preceded in death by his father, William James McKelvey; mother, Gladys Leona Williams McKelvey; and brother, James Daniel Mckelvey.
He is survived by his children, Tamra “Tammy” Heyboer (Daniel), Janet Vandiver, Rodney Shane McKelvey and Brandy Guy (T.J.); one sister, Regina Ann Morrow; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his beloved pet, Little Bit.
Pallbearers will be Seth Vandiver, Jessie Vandiver, Jared Howard, Anthony Llewellyn, Charles Cassidy and Mark Larsen.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Limestone Health Facility and Southern Care Hospice for the loving care showed to Mr. McKelvey.
