David Nayman, age 79, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Nayman was a long time employee of the Huntsville Utilities Water Department, retiring after 30 years of service. Mr. Nayman enjoyed fishing, coaching girls softball, cultivating his tomato garden, Alabama football, and spending time with his grand-dog Toby.
He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Nayman and Myrtle Hilliard Nayman; daughter Sandy Phillips; brother John A. Nayman, Jr.; and sister Helen Nayman Ortner.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Rena Neal Nayman; daughter Lisa Nayman Ehmen (Jeff); grandsons Brandon and Nicholas Shaw; brother J.R. “Bud” Nayman; and sister Vivian “Bib” McCormick.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 with interment to follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
