FLORENCE – Naturalist, adventurer, conservationist… Jack Hanna, will be the featured speaker for the University of North Alabama 2019 Distinguished Event Series, which will take place April 25 at 7 p.m. in Norton Auditorium on UNA’s campus.
Most notably known as America’s favorite zookeeper, Hanna has made countless TV appearances since 1983 on shows like Good Morning America, CNN’s Larry King Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and many more.
Hanna’s love for animals started at a young age, when, as a child, he spent his days cleaning animal cages for his local veterinarian and exploring the creek behind his house. Flash forward a few years and Hanna and his team have traveled to Africa more than forty times and visited each continent at least twice.
In addition, Hanna has created three nationally syndicated television programs Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures, Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild and Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown.
Hanna and his team will be bringing live animals to the event, which is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the event, with books available for purchase.
