Lora Murphey Slater ,92, of Albertville, AL passed from this life on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Albertville Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 3PM Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel with burial to follow in New Harmony Cemetery in Albertville, AL. Gene Lambert and Glenn Stewart will officiate. Pallbearers will be Briggs Patterson, Terry Edmondson, Keith McClendon, Gaither Trussell, Shane Murphy, Chad Clay.. The family will visit with friends Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 1 PM -3PM prior to the service at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. Preceded in death by her mother, Viola Flaura Raines Murphey, father, Amos Luther Murphey, husband, J B Slater, sister, Lura Murphey, brothers, Mardis Murphey, Coy Murphey. She is survived by her sister, Lula Murphey Willmore and a host of nieces and nephews.
