Jackie Sherome Merriweather was born May 3, 1953 in Madison County Tennessee. He was the son of the Late Mr. Harold Samuels and Mrs. Rada Samuels.
He made his transition to eternal life on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Humboldt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was united with Denmark Baptist Church. He received his formal education in the public schools of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jackie expressed himself in his own strengths and gifts. He fought battles in health that would crush many of us, yet he remained strong and unyielding. He will be missed by all who loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory and life, a loving mother, Mrs. Rada Samuels; a sister, Jeannie D. Bond; two nephews, Dejuan Burt (Bre), Indianapolis, IN and Julian Bond (Ari), Murfreesboro, TN; a great niece, Elise Cummins; a great nephew, Kelton Bond; one uncle, Archie L. Hennings, Indianapolis, IN; aunts, Lizzie James, Chicago, IL; Bettye Merriweather and Pearline Watkins (John) of Miluwakee, WI; Carrie Ellison, Leeanna Merriweather, and Mary Sykes (Robert) of Indianapolis, IN; Thelma Givens, Geraldine Ellison and Willie Rutherford (Simuel) of Jackson, TN. He also leaves a host of cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, K.C. and Marell Merriweather and his brother Henry Merriweather.
