Hermon Dayton Long – Obituary

 Hermon Dayton Long, 76, died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1942 in Mississippi and was a factory worker for forty years. He served in the National Guard.

Services will be Saturday, February 16, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Mike Deaton and Brent Colley officiating. Burial will be in Rutledge-Salem Cemetery, Iuka, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are two daughters – Heather Kamarainen (Brandon) Iuka, MS and Eugenia Pearson (Richard) Golden, MS; one granddaughter – Ella Nunley; one step-son – Kevin; one step-daughter – Lisa; several step-grandchildren; one sister – Frances Credille, Iuka, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Oniece Credille, wives, Evelyn Long and Betty Long, his twin brother, Shermon Long and two sisters, Gail Berry and Shery Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Long, Brent Colley and Alton Roberts.

Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
