TUSCUMBIA-After receiving a 911 call concerning a wrecked vehicle on Wednesday, February 13 Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan said when officers got to the scene, they found one person shot inside the car.
The shootingtook place near the Willie Green Center in Tuscumbia at East 10th Street and South East Street.
Emergency crews airlifted that man from the scene and transported him to a hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi where he later died.
The second man was airlifted to Birmingham after arriving at Helen Keller Hospital remains in critical condition. Another man was found dead in the woods near the site of the shooting.
According to Logan it is still early in the investigation and police are not sure what led up to what happened this afternoon, but he is comfortable in feeling they are not looking for another shooter.
