Lelon F. HoldenLelon F Holden, 86 of Killen, AL passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019. He was a native of Lauderdale County and was retired from B.H. Craig Construction and was a cattle farmer. He was a member and Deacon of Elgin Primitive Baptist Church and served our country in the U.S. Army.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 6-9:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel with Tim Cunningham and Danny Holden officiating. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Annie Laura Holden; brothers, George Lee Holden, Arnold Holden and Thomas “Clevie” Holden.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty Joyce Holden; sons, Garry Holden (Janice), Ricky Holden (Robin), and Mike Holden (Sherry); grandchildren, Dana Johnson, Kerri Mahers, Michael Holden, Jamie Vanlandingham, Justin Holden, Jerrod Holden; granddaughter at heart, Kristen; step grandchildren, Adam and BJ Herron; great grandchildren, Austin Holden, Addison Holden, Emma Mahers, Braelynn Holden, Lilly Holden and Conner Vanlandingham; brothers and sisters, Shirley Collins (the late Bobby Collins), Jimmie Holden (Ellen), Dalton Holden (Brenda), Carolyn Thomas (Johnny) and Mark Holden; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends G and Doris Barringer.

Pallbearers will be Jerrod Holden, Trey Mahers, Justin Holden, Austin Holden, Ken Davis and Jeremy Holden.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Elgin Primitive Baptist church, Michael Holden and Tim Gautney.
