Grady Harris Abernathy, age 79 of Toney passed away Monday, February 11, 2019.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Margaret Abernathy; children Kevin Abernathy (Jennifer), Angie Tate, and Tracy Abernathy; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings Ann Travis, Bobby Abernathy, Murphy Abernathy, and Perry Abernathy.
Mr. Abernathy was a retired farmer, he also retired from Madison County where he served as Madison County Commissioner in District 4 for two terms, served on the Madison County School Board, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Visitation is Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. The funeral service is Sat., Feb. 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home officiated by Greg Brown followed by burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.
