Robert Edward Clark, 88, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019. There will be a private family memorial service held at a later date.
Robert was a native of Middletown, Connecticut and was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Vietnam where he earned a Bronze Star. He earned his master’s degree while attending the University of North Alabama and was a retired Meteorologist. He was also a member of the Shoals Optimist Club.
Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Roberta Gibson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Merwin Jean Read Clark; daughter, Virginia Gates (Peter); grandchildren, Kelly, Katherine, Matthew, Joseph and Rachel; and two great-granddaughters, Sutton and Riley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Alabama, Birmingham.
