Richard Delano Thompson, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Clanton, AL and a resident of Madison County since 1961. He was a member of Highlands Baptist Church, a veteran of the US Air Force where he served our country in the Korean War, and retired from Teledyne Brown Engineering with 38 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth D. Thompson; son, Richard Bruce Thompson (Jacquie); daughter-in-law, Anne Thompson; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by one son, Gary Thomas Thompson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 5th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel memorial service will follow at 3:00 with Rev. Don Ware and Dr. Tony Guthrie officiating. A private burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
