Mr. Glen H. Faires was born July 8, 1939 in Lauderdale County, the son of Cleo H. Faires and Gertie Simon Faires. He departed this life on January 30, 2019 in Florence, Alabama making his stay in this life 79 Years, 6 months, 22 days.
He was united in marriage to Ann M. Craig on August 31, 1969. Mr. Faires was a member of the Pine Hill Church of Christ, County Road 10, Florence.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann M. Craig Faires; his brother, Gary Faires (Doris) of Florence; sisters, Quava Akins (Andy), Jewel Bain (Robert), Sue Melton, all of Florence, and Rachel Goza (Danny) of Tishomingo, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Tommy Craig (Pat); sisters-in-law, Linda Faires, Sandra Faires and Jeanette Faires. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Granville Faires, Freddie Faires, Clyde Faires and Shelba Faires; brother-in-law, Leo Melton; and sister-in-law, Shelia Faires.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the Pine Hill Church of Christ and on Saturday February 2, 2019 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
Services will be held on Saturday February 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Church of Christ on County Road 10 Florence, Alabama with Steve McFall and Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Pine Hill Church of Christ Cemetery.
Those to serve as pallbearers are Nathan Bain, Skyler Bain, Dennis Bain, Jordan Bain, Jason Faires and Michael Craig.
Honorary pallbearers will be a host of family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Volunteer Hospice (especially LuLu and Melody), 5th Floor nurses at NAMC, and NHC home health of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
