SHEFFIELD – U.S. Marine Craig Grossi and his dog Fred be telling his story, “Craig & Fred A Marine, A Stray Dog, and How They Rescued Each Other” at the Sheffield Public Library on March 14.
Craig met Fred on a battlefield in Afghanistan in 2010 and it was friendship the moment they met. When Grossi airlifted out a few days after meeting Fred….well Fred went with him. Beginning the uplifting and unforgettable true story of the bond between a US Marine and a stray dog he saved in an Afghanistan war zone, and their message of “stubborn positivity.
The two are touring the country talking about their story through Grossi’s book, “Craig & Fred,” the story of a Marine, a stray dog and how they rescued each other.
