F.1.30.19 Nellie Campbell.jpgNellie Blye Harvey Campbell, 89, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019. Nellie was born February 9, 1929 in Rogersville and lived most of her life in Colbert County. She was a member of Tuscumbia First United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the former First United Methodist Church of Muscle Shoals. She was a devoted Christian and much-loved sister, wife, mother and Grannie.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ira Delaney and Dewie White Harvey; husband, Edward Austin Campbell; sister Lila Lee Roberts.

Survivors include daughters, Susan Carol Campbell of Muscle Shoals, Kathy Lee Polk (Randy) of Muscle Shoals and Patricia Gail Cupps (Mark) of Decatur; grandchildren, Stacy Hooper of Muscle Shoals, Anthony Cupps (Jill) of Collierville, Tennessee, Lori Polk Woods (Daniel) of Birmingham, Nick Cupps (Joni) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Adam Polk (Katie) of Muscle Shoals; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Swayze, Steely and Colbie Cupps, Elizabeth Woods and anticipated birth of baby Austin Rylee Polk; sister, Martha Alberta Michael of Muscle Shoals, and sister-in-law Corrine Campbell of Killen.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tuscumbia First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Reverend Dr. Rudy Guess and Reverend Charles Boling. Following the funeral service, burial will be in Pettus Cemetery, Lexington.

Pallbearers will be Adam Polk, Anthony Cupps, Nick Cupps, Randy Polk, Mark Cupps and David Eckl.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Tuscumbia First United Methodist Church Building fund or Faith Promise Mission, 104 E. 3rd Street, Tuscumbia AL 35674.

The family expresses special appreciation to Holly Eckl for the exceptional care she provided Mother. Thank you to Amedisys Home Health, Hospice and to the caregivers at Home Instead.
