June Peek Brannum, 84, of Big Cove, AL, passed away on January 18, 2019. She was born December 31, 1934.
As a loving wife, mother, bookkeeper, and decorator of homes, she was strong, capable, and tireless. June was a remarkable cook and always enjoyed perparing meals for her family and friends. She was a faithful servant of Christ and loved her church family. June had a mother’s special love for all children, always caring and kind. She was known as “Mama June” to the community. As she held all of us in her heart, she will live in a special place in all of our hearts forever, as an extraordinary loving wife, mother, and friend.
June was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, A.J. Brannum; parents, Cecil and Gladys Peek; and brother, James Peek.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Brannum, Jeff Brannum, and Anita Brannum Gipson (Rodney); brother, Garry Peek; and several nieces
and nephews.
The family will receive friends on January 20, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home with graveside service at 1:30 p.m.
at Green Valley Cemetery in Big Cove with Bro. Mark Warren officiating.
